WARRIORS ON THE WAY
March 20, 2023 - Warriors on the Way is a pilgrimage experience designed for combat Veterans by combat Veterans. Capitalizing on the latest research in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and moral injury care, Veterans join in the tradition of pilgrims who have been walking the Camino de Santiago since the 9th century. Led by Father Steven Rindahl, a retired Army Chaplain, the Warriors on the Way pilgrimage was based on his multiple pilgrimages focused on Veteran healing. Father Steve has multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctor of Ministry, during which he learned much about responding to combat trauma. He is a combat Veteran, having served as a Chaplain in Iraq with the 1st Cavalry Division. He was the developer and instructor of the US Army Chaplain’s Course on providing a ministerial response to moral injury. He used all these experiences to develop Warriors on the Way.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
March 18, 2023 - It was Bill, Andy, Dave, Randy (Andy’s friend), and Harry at Habitat.   Andy, Dave, and Randy shingled the roof. Bill and I trimmed other shingles to be used for the roof cap and then inspected and marked studs inside the house for shimming or planing to be flat and checked that all “blocking” was in place ready for drywalling next week. This is about the 15th house Kyrene Rotary Club has  helped build with Habitat for Humanity.

FELLOWSHIP OF GIN
 March 06, 2023 -
Rotary Fellowships are interna-
tional groups that share a com-
mon passion. Being part of a
fellowship is a fun way to make
friends around the world and
explore gins of the world.
This fellowship has an active
general Facebook Group where
they share discoveries and infor-
mation about gins. They share
craft gins from all over the world,
gin recipe cocktails, favorite bo-
tanicals, how to make a com-
pound gin, how to cook with gin, etc.

The Fellowship holds monthly Gintastic meetups online via Zoom to have fun
and learn something about gin. They rotate the times so that people in each
time zone have the opportunity to participate in them. Typically, a guest distill-
er speaks to the members about their distillery’s gin process and products.
Rotary Fellowship of Gin members are also people of action who provide ser-
vice and support in our local communities and collaborate internationally on
projects. One key Rotary area of focus is water and sanitation. Gin starts with
clean water, so Fellowship activities give members an opportunity to support
Rotary clean water projects.
The Rotary Fellowship of Gin is a group dedicated to promoting gin as an op-
portunity for fellowship. This fellowship operates in accordance with Rotary
International Policy, but is not an agency of, nor controlled by Rotary Intl.
