Feed Our Babies
May 20, 2019 - Today our club did not have a specific program but we were fortunate enough to have Joni Sucato and her husband join us as a guest of Soni Koskela. Joni is the founder and chairman of  the Feed Our Babies program in Phoenix. She explained the mission and experiences of the program.  There was much discussion and we will invite her to come and speak to us in the fall. This organization might well be a candidate for support from our club.

Habitat for Humanity - check presentation
May 14, 2019 - President Kelly Alexander presented a $1,000 contribution to Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona.
There for Habitat was Debra Bradley, COO and CFO of Habitat, receiving the check.  Luz Aguilar, longtime Volunteer Services Manager also represented Habitat.  Kyrene Rotary has recruited volunteers from the club and other nearby Rotary clubs and helped build a house with Habitat once or twice a year since 2005 or 2006.  We are proud to help Habitat build affordable homes for the working poor in Arizona. Tyler Leuning and Harry Short also represented the Kyrene Club.  In the picture background is a whole street of family homes built by Rotarian and other volunteers.
