August 29, 2022 - Megan Wilson, Director of Programs at the Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA), gave us a good overview of several programs offered by the agency, such as Housing Stability, Hunger Relief, Healthy Family, Economic Empowerment. August 27, 2022 - Several Kyrene Rotarians, along with a couple of friends completed several tasks to make contributions ready for sale, as well as making a major renovation to the shelving in the warehouse. Our contributions were appreciated. Several of us went for lunch afterwards at the Boulders. See a few photos of our activities below.

August 15, 2022 - Jill Strandquist, a Youth Exchange Student to the Philippines in 1982-83, gave us a very interesting presentation describing her experience as an Exchange Student. Not only was Jill a good student but while there she began her very successful tennis experience. Jill is very grateful for the RYE opportunity which she believes got her started on a successful career. She currently owns her own small business - Jilly Bean Designs. August 15, 2022 - Kyrene Rotary Club President, Soni Koskela, places a pin on our President Elect, Dave Kline. Dave's term will begin on July 1 2023. Dave has been president before so he knows the ropes. Thanks for your continued service, Dave.
August 13, 2022 - Several members of the Kyrene Rotary Club, along with friends, and two Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) Students, put labels into 1000 dictionaries. We are very pleased that our incoming and outgoing RYE students could be with us on this project. The dictionaries will be delivered to 3rd grade classes in the Roosevelt School District. Our club has provided dictionaries to these schools for over 10 years.
