September 30, 2023 - Members David, Lourdes, Doug, and Andy, along with exchange student Lotte performed various tasks on Saturday morning. Dave presented a check to T4T from one of our club members on behalf of the Kyrene Rotary Club.
September 28, 2023 - KRC President Dave Kline and member Rich Hamilton represented the club at the award presentation ceremony as the Arizona State Treasurer, Kimberly Yee, and Representatives from University of Arizona presented scholarships to three Arizona teachers for excellence in teaching financial literacy to their students.
The scholarships are for the UA Master of Legal Studies online program.
In addition, KRC provided gift cards for school supplies so the teachers could choose what they needed.
The winners were:
Claudia Brown-Morgan, grades 7-8, Aguila Elementary School; Jim Welty, grades 9 & 11, Brophy College Preparatory School; and Giselle Astrid Romero, grades 11-12, Douglas Unified School District.

September 18, 2023 - Mike Schmoker, an educational consultant, author, and former club member gave us an overview of the problems facing the K-12 educational system across the country. He told us of untapped opportunities to dramatically improve K-12 schools. His presentation can be seen by clicking HERE
September 11, 2023 - Our TRVFA student, Jeannette, told us about her goals and how our support will help her. Club member, Yoshi gave us an excellent summary of his doctoral research project at ASU titled "Sustainable pathways for Irrigation-dependent dryland agriculture: a systems modeling approach". His presentation was excellent and generated many questions from members.
