 March 12, 2016 - Here is the Kyrene Rotary crew (members and guests) that participated in the United Food Bank food-sorting and packing project. There were a total of 35 people who worked for just over 3 hours to pack almost 10,000 pounds of food. That amounts to almost 250 meals per volunteer. Great job everyone!
Harry began the session explaining how important this effort is for the United Food Bank and how pleased he was to see so many rotarians participating. He won't be here in the summer and so asked for volunteers to organize this project for the next session in the summer.

March 21, 2016 - President Dave Klein presented Harry Short ( a founding member of the club) with the Rotarian of the Year Award with the designation - "Master of Inter-club Projects". Harry has been a very dedicated, conscientious, and energetic member of the club ever since the club began over 10 years ago. His experience and wisdom have guided us for many years. KUDOS Harry!! March 9, 2016 - our Kyrene Rotary club supported the "A World in Motion (AWIM) project at Valley View School this year. We provided a bit of volunteer time and funded the medals that were awarded. The Sun Lakes Rotary Club provided the majority of the volunteer support. The Awards Night was a super celebration acknowledging the efforts of the students. The photo shows Dave Kline, our president along with the teacher and two of the winning teams. Our rotary club hopes to provide full support to the Kyrene Middle School if they decide to initiate an AWIM project next year.
