May 6, 2019 - Kay Wright, the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Women4Women program in Tempe, described the program which is a part of the Tempe Community Access Agency.
Kay said that homeless and low income women are in desperate need of feminine hygiene products. Costs of these products are not covered by any government programs such as food stamps and are too expensive for many women to afford. Her organization collects multiple hygiene products, puts them in bags and distributes them to a variety of organizations in Tempe. Last year over 6,300 bags were given out. Volunteers are always welcome to assemble the bags. Contact Kay at women4womentempe@gmail.com or 602-568-9170.
