January 29, 2018 - Laurie Coe gave us some highlights of her life along the path from being a hippie to a political activist. Her father fought in the second world war and saw the concentration camps but never liked to talk about it. Her hippie life began in New York and her commune was harassed a lot so she moved to California, married Allan Cohen and had a baby which she named River. The life was tough, and Laurie related several stories to us. The commune became more organized and had a dysfunctional board of directors.  Laurie migrated from that life and now lives in the valley.
