October 30, 2023 - Karen Jayne, Chief Executive Officer of Stardust Building Supplies, gave us a good overview of how her non-profit organization functions. They have a permanent staff but rely on assistance from volunteers. They have been in the Valley since 1997. Stardust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. They operate two reuse centers for home improvement which sell gently-used, salvaged, and surplus building materials at affordable prices. Additionally, they provide deconstruction services that salvage building materials, divert waste from landfills, and support sustainability in the community. Karen's presentation was well received and generated many questions. Our Kyrene Rotary club will explore ways in which we might volunteer with this organization.STARDUST BUILDING SUPPLIES
