Spring Hike

Mar 16 - The Rotary Club of the Kyrene Corridor, scheduled a hike last weekend at the Chandler Blvd trailhead of South Mountain. Members met at 6:45 and hiked up the ridgeline in a nice out and back hike Saturday morning. If you want to go, go early as parking had filled up by 7.  A couple of members also hike regularly during the week from the Pima Canyon trailhead where there is a lot more parking. During the week, parking is easy and close. On the weekend, again, go early. If you arrive later and have to park along the road, take a few steps north to get on the network of trails in the Pima wash. You’ll be walking west between a golf course and the road to the trailheads. Flowers blanket the hillsides right now but you have to get close to see them.
