June 12, 2013 - Two club members, Mo and Rob, gave us their perspectives on solar.  Mo began by telling about his entry into solar that led to two patents. He developed a system to drain the solar panels when the temperatures dropped below freezing. It was a unique vacuum breaking method. Initial installations worked well but after 10 to 12 years the water tank and copper lines needed to be replaced at a cost of over $3000. This replacement cost made Mo's approach prohibitive. Mo moved back into the A/C business.  Rob told us of his experience in installing solar panels to generate power. His story began just about a year ago so the technology and systems are quite current.  You can see Rob's analysis by clicking HERE.
