January 13, 2020 - New club member, Oliver, gave us an overview of his history.Oliver was previously a member of our club and has now returned. (Club member Harry worked hard to make this happen.) Oliver was born in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, into a family of 8 siblings. His high intelligence got him admitted to a prestigious high school and then on to Oxford where he studied agriculture. He worked on a large farm to help pay for his education. He came to the USA in 1985 and settled in Tempe, the home of his wife. He held several management positions in the City of Tempe before retiring last year. Oliver has three children (a Doctor, an actress, and a video editor), as well as 3 grandchildren. He is an avid hiker and has hiked many local trails with Harry. Our club is very happy to have him back and we look forward to his active participation.
