Gilbert Rotary Club told us about the water project on the Navajo reservation that his club is supporting. The objective of the project is to provide water to the homes of families who have no indoor water. A 2000-foot well has been drilled and now each home must be outfitted with the proper hardware systems, at a cost of $4500 each. This is an international project - Mexican rotary clubs have already raised 30% of the total $78,000 cost. The Gilbert club is asking other clubs to help raise another $5000 to meet the overall goal. Our club will explore ways to participate and make a decision within the next few weeks.
