Oct 3, 2016 - The District Governor for 5510, Dr. Tonya Watson, visited our club today.  We spent the first 90 minutes reviewing all aspects of our club with her. Tonya then gave us a multi-faceted presentation that included such issues as "Why do we need a district office"; "Why are we combining districts"; "What does Rotary do for the community"; and "What can we be doing better". Tonya encouraged us to take some action to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Rotary Foundation. She would also like clubs to get involved with some form of "Assisted Elder Campaign" for this year.  She emphasized we should answer the questions Why Rotary?  Why Now? Let's promote Rotary more aggressively (toot our horns) to help recruit members. She concluded her presentation with the mantra - "We should be proud to be Rotarians"
