March 26, 2018 - Bill Mundell presented information on the formation and history of the Corporation Commission in Arizona.  The Corporation Commission was created as a 4th branch of Government in Arizona to regulate monopolies.  When instituted in 1912, the largest monopolies were railroads. Regulating a monopoly means that the Commission has the power to set the rates you pay as a customer of the monopoly.  Today, utilities are the monopolies regulated by the Commission.
As a former commissioner, Bill was knowledgeable about the commission and is passionate that all voters become as  educated as possible about the commission and the candidates that seek election.
