February 12, 2018 - Shannon Mitchell and Lauren Gray from the Autism Academy for Education and Development gave us a comprehensive look at their organization. Shannon told us that the Academy addressed the needs of students across the full spectrum of Autism. The school is in its 5th year and now has over 300 students in 3 locations. She explained that 99% of the students attend on a full scholarship. The school addresses the academic, social skills, and vocational needs of the students. They are developing partnerships with organizations in the valley to train and place students when they graduate.
