Feb 27, 2017 - Vladimir Pulaj from the Rotary Club Tirana in Albania gave us a very interesting slide presentation about his country and his Rotary Club. He described the major characteristics of his country and club. Albania has a population of just over 3 million people, is located on the Adriatic and Ionian seas, and is about the size of Delaware. It is a multicultural and multi-religion country and the Albanian language is one of the oldest in Europe. In 2009 it became a full NATO member. The RC Tirana was chartered in March 1992 and many other clubs have been chartered since then. The club has had many significant projects including vaccinations for newly born children, sponsorships for students, aiding Kosovo refugees, and funding multiple matching grants.  Many thanks to Vladimir for giving us such a rewarding education.
